Pret A Mango

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: Pret A Manger at Penn Station, NYC

What I thought of it:
Started with low expectations for this tiny bag. But--woah--it's actually dried mango done right. Ingredients simply state mango and natural cane sugar. But it's also slightly moist and chewy the way I like it. How did they do it? Turns out, I find out later, it's a product of the Philippines. Well, they knew how to source that right.

Thunder Grill Mango Margarita

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: Thunder Grill in Union Station, DC

What I thought of it:
Thunder Grill serves pretty good mango margarita. The mango does not over power the tequila but lifts it and cradles it in a cushion of delicate sweetness. Not sure that makes sense but whatevs. They probably use good quality purée and not the artificially flavored stuff.

Aidells mango smoked chicken sausage

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: Costco

What it thought of it:
I like it a lot but don't really taste the mango. Perhaps it's sweetness comes from the mango. It has a delicate fruity taste mixed with the spice.

Lipton mango iced tea

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Where I got it: at our local National Night Out

What I thought of it:
Inspite the faux mango (that artificial mango taste that tastes more like passion fruit) flavor, it was still refreshing. Almost on the edge of too sweet but still good and actually quite comforting.

Trader Joe's Mango Coconut flavored Caramel Corn

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: Trader Joe's

Thoughts:
Oh-em-gee. This product seems to be the kind that could go wrong easily. But it actually works quite well and it's addicting. I can taste the coconut AND the mango (and it tastes like real mango--not the mango favoring in lots of things). Now I can't stop popping this popcorn in my mouth.

Boboy's Barquillos de Mangga

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: SM City Iloilo

Thoughts:
I love Barquillos and I love mangoes. But this combination doesn't quite live up to the taste I was hoping for. It's not bad and there is actually a unique flavor that makes it different from other Barquillos---I'm guessing that the mango. But it feels like a let down.

Enjoy Spicy Mango Cinnamon Chocolate

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Where I found it: a hospital gift shop in NJ

Thoughts:
Not bad. It's pretty good dark chocolate. The spiciness overpowers a little bit. Mango adds a nice chewiness but otherwise, I don't really taste that distinct mango sweetness.
